Hotel Wailea

The first resort I recommend staying in is Hotel Wailea.

If you appreciate a privacy, and you’re looking for a resort with a romantic flair, then you will love Hotel Wailea.

This resort beams romance. It contains 72 luxury suites, that are designed for couples who want an intimate setting, without the crowd.

However, if you’re travelling alone, or with a friend, there’s no reason why you can’t share. It’s a gorgeous resort, that should not be missed.

Like most resorts, Hotel Wailea offers some great activities. There is an amazing aerial silk yoga class, kite boarding, and many canoe experiences.

Another grand feature is that the hotel restaurant is high quality, with European-inspired dishes. One of the most notable features about this resort is their unique treehouse restaurant.

It’s an open-air bungalow, placed amongst the incredible avocado and mango trees. There’s no better way to eat lunch than inside a giant treehouse.

Montage Kapalua Bay

The next resort I recommend staying in is Montage Kapalua Bay.

If you’re looking for resorts in Maui, then Montage Kapalua Bay could be for you. It’s a massive 24-acre resort, which is located on top of Kapalua Bay. The suites have won many awards, and are set are various prices.

This is a resort for my adventurers, who also want a taste of absolute luxury. Halekulani is a five-star resort that is located in Waikiki; All the suites are Halekulani are impressive.

They feature tons of space, and a private lanai. At the pricer level, the premier suite features a personal butler and has airport limo service.

Grand Hyatt Kauai

The next resort I recommend staying in is the Grand Hyatt Kauai.

If you’re staying on the island of Kauai, then you may want to consider the Grand Hyatt Kauai. It’s a truly beautiful resort. It’s incredibly close to white-sand beaches, and it’s a good distance to the insanely wonderful green mountains.

If you want to be close to nature, but still enjoy a piece of luxury, this is a great resort for you.

The suites themselves are smart and modern. They are not as luxurious as others on the list, so it may be ideal for those who aren’t looking for the most exclusive resort in town.

The suites are very spacious, though, and contain private lanais.

Given the close location to nature, the Grand Hyatt Kauai can set up some great excursions. There’s mountain biking, hiking, scuba diving, and even zip-lining.

On the resort itself, you can take a look at the beautiful koi fish, and even check out the wildfire in the hotel gardens grounds.

The St. Regis Princeville

The next resort I recommend staying in is The St. Regis Princeville.

This wonderful resort can be found on the north coast of Kauai. It’s an intimate hotel, away from the hustle and bustle, and acts as a calming paradise.

What is refreshing about The St. Regis Princeville is that the suites are decorated in Hawaiian style. While other resorts may go extremely modern, it’s good to see Hawaiian decor being embraced.

With that said, if you want a taste of the utmost luxury, you can still get that here, although it’ll come at a pretty price. The finest suites come with personal butler service and even two pairs of Maui Jim Sunglasses.

When it comes to excursions, you have plenty of options. You could ride horseback across the wondrous mountain range, observing the gorgeous sites. There’s an option to kayak the Hanalei River, and even hike the Napali Coast.

It’s great for adventurous looking for a solid base. In fact, The St. Regis Princeville owns over 2,500 acres of private land. They have their own zipping activity, which means you don’t have to be submerged with all the tourists.

Turtle Bay Resort

The next resort I recommend staying in is Turtle Bay Resort.

If you’re interested in Turtle Bay Resort, then you might like to know it’s located on the North Shore of Oahu. It’s a very famous hotel, as it’s popular with travelers — and for good reason, it’s a great balance of luxury, without it being over the top.

It’s a secure and modern resort, which seems to be a favorite. The suites are varied along with the prices; you can select ocean rooms, private balconies, and so forth.

If you like golf, then you’ll love to know that Turtle Bay Resort owns two champion golf choices. If you’re not big into golf, why not true a fitness class, inspired by Tahitian Dancing?

While it’s fun to go on crazy excursions, doing smaller activities can really make a holiday, too.

With that said, they do have great excursions on offer, from surf lessons, kayaking, snorkeling, and even taking a helicopter tour. Yep, there’s a lot of variation at this hotel!

The Royal Hawaiian

The next resort I recommend staying in is The Royal Hawaiian.

If you choose to stay at The Royal Hawaiian, then you are very lucky. This resort located on Wakiki Beach, in Honolulu, is an iconic resort. Guests come from all over the world to stay here, and for very good reasons.

The concierge service at The Royal Hawaiian is impeccable and means that if you’re looking for advice for excursions, you’ll get the best help in town.

When it comes to rooms, there’s over 500 — it’s a pretty big resort. Each room has its own lanai, overlooking the gorgeous ocean views. If you like a resort that has entertainment, then look no further — there’s always something going on at their Mai Tai Bar.

They even have their own high-quality restaurant, called Azure Restaurant. This is perfect for romantic evenings, and they serve some of the best fish in town.

The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua

The last resort I recommend staying in is The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua.

The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua is the grandest hotel on this list. This one, in particular, is located in Maui, and is absolutely breathtaking.

All rooms feature lanai balconies, and the bathroom is made from marble. If you want to upgrade, be their guest! You can get extreme balconies and exclusive Club Level Access.

If you’re not sure what that is, it just means you get a private concierge, culinary offers, a private lounge, and so forth. Pretty grand!

Okay, I was hesitant about whether I should recommend The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, but this is an article on the best places to stay in Hawaii, and… it really is one of the best.

I was hesitant, because it is a complete luxury, and I figured a lot of my followers may prefer something a little more down to earth, but that’s not totally fair.

Everyone is different, and if you want to stay in a luxury hotel, do it! That’s an adventure in itself if you ask me.
