Here they sell spicy, sweet-sour fish stew with a well-tempered spice blend of shallots, galangal, fresh turmeric, belacan (fermented shrimp paste), and lemongrass as the main flavor. Tamarind paste adds a sourish tang to the gravy, which makes it a fairly liquid and almost soup-like dish.
