What is a Muslim holiday destination?

Sometimes described as halal holiday destinations, this is something that I consider when traveling, especially with my family.

Halal means lawful or permissible in Arabic, and halal amenities include prayer facilities, halal food options, and safety assurance, especially for you hijabi sisters and you who carry Muslim names.

Some of the places I mentioned in the list may not have proper prayer facilities, but rest assured, there will be plenty of spaces for Muslims to pray.

Halal food is also an important factor to take in when choosing a Muslim vacation destinations.

With the current world political landscape, Muslim travelers particularly female Muslims and Muslim families prefer countries for family holidays that have no Islamophobia.

Because who can enjoy a beautiful country with a side of racism or Islamophobe right? Not to forget the safety aspect of traveling with your family and especially children.

Holiday Destinations For Muslim FamiliesAsia

1. Malaysia

Although I’ve uprooted to Ireland, I’m still half Malay and have some roots here. Malaysia will always have a special place in my heart.

Perfect holiday destinations for families, with halal food and mosques available at every nook and corner. Catering to your family’s halal necessities should not be a problem.

Malaysia has traditional villages, yet also modern in major cities, especially Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Johor Bahru.

You won’t find an explosion of culture in one place quite like Malaysia.

Where else can you speak Malay with Indian and Chinese slang? i.e.: Anney! Walaoweh! Teh tarik 2! (Bro! -Surprised expression- 2 pulled teas please!)

With this aim, you can have your halal vacay in peace, knowing that Thailand is safe for Muslim holiday destinations.

The only thing you need to be scared of are Thai horror movies. They make the best supernatural thrillers.
