FAQs On Hotel With Bathtub Kuala Lumpur
Does Hyatt Regency Have Bathtub?
Does Hyatt Regency have a bathtub, you ask? Well, The club and suite room comes with a bathtub and also a shower in their spacious bathroom. The club room might come across as empty to some, and a huge king bed fills the room, without additional sofas.
Kuala Lumpur Travel Guide & FAQ
Is Kuala Lumpur Safe?
Is Kuala Lumpur safe for foreigners? Kuala Lumpur is a pretty safe city and crime risks are not more than other big cities in Southeast Asia. Kuala Lumpur is actually 35th in the EIU Safe Cities Index with a high score in personal security. Practice common sense and you’ll be fine.
What’s The Best Time To Visit Kuala Lumpur?
Kuala Lumpur is a melting pot of cultures and heritages. I highly suggest visiting KL during one of the many festivals and occasions to fully experience the city.
You might want to come during Thaipusam, Chinese New Year, or Hari Raya Aidilfitri (Eid) to see how the locals celebrate and join in the festivities.
These festivals are a great opportunity to witness how locals celebrate and participate in the festivities, as Malaysians are known for their hospitality and love of sharing their food and culture with foreigners.
Because these festivals are not based on the western calendar, the dates aren’t fixed every year, so it’s worth checking out when the events will fall during the year you plan to visit.
Weather-wise, Kuala Lumpur has a tropical climate that is sunny and nice all year round.
The city does experience eastern monsoons from October to January and western monsoons from March to April, but it is not like it rains and pours through the entire time 🙂 If you prefer a less wet season, February may be the best time to visit.
Overall, it comes down to your personal preferences and what you hope to experience during your trip.
What Do I Pack For Kuala Lumpur?
- Light, breathable clothing since it’s a tropical climate – sundresses, tank tops, and shorts, are a good idea
- A scarf or long sleeve shirt and long pants to use as a cover-up when you’re visiting places of worship and more modest places
- Cover-up for when you go to the spa and pool area
- Swimsuits (if planning to swim) – check out this cute one-piece and these trunks
- Comfortable walking sandals or sneakers so you can explore Melaka comfortably
- Sun protection like sunglasses, sunscreen, and hats
- A small umbrella or poncho, if you’re coming during rainy season
- Water bottle to stay hydrated on the go – a collapsible one is best!
- Backpack for carrying essentials while out and about
- Camera or a travel-size camera tripod to place your phone when capturing memories
- Car phone mount if you will be driving so that you can safely look at the maps on your phone
- International adapter if your country uses a different power outlet than Malaysia (plug type G, which is the plug that has three rectangular pins in a triangular pattern)
- Power banks so your phone doesn’t run out of charge as you’re out and about
- Necessary medications – but check that they are allowed into Malaysia!
- Insect repellent to keep those pesky mosquitos away
- Travel first aid kit

Kuala Lumpur (KL) Travel Planning Guide
Getting To KL
- By air: There are 3 airports serving Kuala Lumpur – The main one is Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), followed by KLIA 2 and Subang Airport (mostly owned by local and low-cost carriers). KLIA and KLIA 2 are well connected via train (KLIA Express) and busses, and you can even rent cars or ride-sharing. Ditto for Subang Airport, but sans the train.
- By bus: You can get to KL by bus from neighboring countries like Singapore and Thailand. This is a great comfortable and affordable option – you will just need to bear the longer hours, compared to flights – I’d just read a book and let time pass 🙂
- By train: Your train options for Kuala Lumpur are via the KTM Komuter and ETS trains which offer frequent services to Kuala Lumpur from cities throughout the country. For international trains, the international ETS trains connect Kuala Lumpur to Singapore.
- By car: If you’re planning to drive to KL, the city is easily accessible by car from the north and south via the North-South Expressway. Just be aware that traffic can be heavy during peak hours, which are usually on Friday evenings and weekends. If it’s a long weekend in Malaysia, you can forget about driving unless you don’t mind taking 3 to 4 times longer than the usual driving time. And driving on the highway is not for the faint-hearted! You will be driving with transportation trucks, long trailers, and busses – do not attempt if you’re unfamiliar with the highway, please!
Seasons And Weather
- There’s no season per se in Kuala Lumpur. It has a tropical climate, meaning it’s hot and sunny all year round, averaging 30 to 33 degrees Celsius. Now you know why people escape to Kuala Lumpur 🙂
- The city experiences eastern monsoons from October to January and western monsoons from March to April, and it does rain throughout the year as well – just always have an umbrella or poncho with you if you’re going outdoors, and you’ll be fine.
Transport
- Kuala Lumpur has an extensive public transportation network, including the light rail, monorail, and buses. Just note that public transportation in KL doesn’t always run on time, so if you need to be somewhere at a certain time, you have to give leeway for delays and leave early!
- There are taxis readily available in KL, but locals almost exclusively use e-hailing services as they are much, much cheaper. The most popular one is Grab (similar to Uber).
- You can easily rent a car in Kuala Lumpur, and petrol is relatively cheap, averagely about MYR2.00 to MYR2.50 (USD0.45 to MYR0.55) per liter.
- Traffic in KL can get very congested, especially before and after work hours on weekdays, during meal times, and when the malls close (10:00 pm) – always plan with traffic in mind.
Places To Visit
- You can’t miss the iconic Petronas Towers – the world’s tallest pair of twin buildings! It’s got killer views, especially at night, and is a popular spot to take pictures to show you’ve been in KL!
- If you’re interested in culture, visit Thean Hou Temple, Sri Mahamariamman, and the Batu Caves (272 colorful steps take you to a Hindu temple). These are religious places, so please dress modestly and respect local customs when you’re there.
- You can pick up more on history at the National Museum if you’re a history buff.
- If nature is your thing, you’ll be spoilt for choice in KL, but here are some highlights – Kuala Lumpur Bird Park with over 200 species, Aquaria KLCC with 5000 species of marine and terrestrial animals, and Perdana Botanical Garden Kuala Lumpur.
- Kuala Lumpur is a shopper’s paradise – from high-end malls like Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Suria KLCC to markets like Petaling Street and Central Market – there is something for everyone!
- You can get organized tours to make navigating the city easier – we like to use Get Your Guide and Viator for their variety of options and deals.
Food And Drinks
- KL has a huge food scene with countless delicacies – you couldn’t eat all the types of food if you tried. But here are some main ones not to be missed:
- If you want to try something Indian, get your palms in banana leaf rice, biryani rice which is a rice dish made with basmati rice & biryani essentials like spices, herbs, yogurt, and onions and topped with lots of meat (unless you get the vegetarian version), and tandoori chicken – traditional oven-baked chicken with spices.
- Popular Chinese cuisines include dim sum, bak kut teh and char koay teow – there’s also Malay char koay teow which is completely different from the Chinese one and equally as good!
- Try Malay delicacies such as nasi Melayu, which is rice with tons of delicious dishes for you to pick from, satay and ayam percik, marinated chicken that is traditionally slowly grilled over charcoal.
- Don’t leave KL without trying out a cup of teh tarik (pulled tea)! You can also sample other local drinks like sirap bandung, a sweet syrup drink with milk.
