1. Bert’s Garden Seafood
Just arrived at Melaka and just want to wind down with some good Melaka seafood?
Bert’s Garden Seafood is exactly what you will be looking for. Located along Jalan Kampung Pinang B with a picturesque view of the Straits of Melacca, dining at Bert’s Garden’s open-air dining area after a long day of traveling is plain relaxing.

The seafood offered here is fresh and most importantly; most of the seafood is grilled with charcoal flames which lock in the flavor and moisture.
You can’t go wrong with any of their seafood options.
We recommend the: grilled prawns, grilled red snapper, and black pepper crab.
To pair with the amazing seafood, do get the Nasi Lemak as the rich fluffy rice compliments well with the seafood’s freshness. If you feel like splurging a little, Bert’s Garden does cook up one of the tastiest lobsters in Melaka.
If you are craving something non-Asian, Bert’s Garden does offer some classic Western dishes such as Fish and Chips, Chicken Chop, Spaghetti, and Salads. Bonus tip, come in the early evening to catch the sunset view by the Straits of Melacca!

The seafood here is undeniably fresh but loyal patrons come back to the one dish which is pretty unique in this restaurant which is the Cheese Prawn Mee Hoon (Vermicelli). It may sound weird but the cheesy flavor is delightfully light and goes well with the savory broth.
For some good crab in Melaka, the fresh milk crab is another crowd favorite which is a stir-fried crab with a cream-based sauce with a flavor profile leaning towards the sweet and spicy end that is definitely mouth-watering.

Similar to most seafood restaurants, they offer an extensive amount of methods to cook your choice of seafood. Seafood aside they do have stir-fried vegetables, omelet, otak-otak, quail bird, and paper-packed nasi lemak to go with the amazing seafood.
Heads up, you will have to queue at the counter to make your orders.
It is not too bad as you could plan your orders as you queue! Also, they don’t allow reservations on weekends. Plan your trip accordingly!

Being a seafood restaurant, Aunty Fatso certainly does fair well for their other dishes as well.

Here they serve a variety of items that you can snack on all night with your friends! Some of the recommended ones are cockles, clams, squid, and sea snails.

Despite its name, the restaurant does not simply just serve fish as part of its menu.
However, the star of the menu is the Fish and Chips, and has been pretty consistent in terms of quality. Other than that, Simply Fish menu is a pretty standard Malaysia’s Western Restaurant that serves pasta, chicken chop, salads, prawns, and crabs.

If you want a bit of everything, get the seafood platter! It has fish and chips, chicken chop, creamy mussel, grilled prawns, fried oysters, and butter rice. Perfect for a small family meal.

Don’t miss out on ordering the Sambal Squid, Prawns, and Petai (Stink bean) too! Although it is not a halal-certified restaurant, Muslims can be seen dining here too.
However, locals have reported that prices may be a little more steep compared to other restaurants. But good food, it is definitely worth the penny!
