FAQ

Can You Camp Along The South West Coast Path?

You cannot camp as many individuals and organizations hold property along the South West Coast Path, mainly governed by the public right-of-way (PRoW).  It has been known that camping on the Coast Path without consent from the landowner is a trespass, even though you are free to have a walk at the coastal trail.

How Hard Is The South West Coast Path?

It is ranked as one of the world’s best walks – a 630-mile (1014 km) journey along the southwest peninsula’s coast. However, you don’t have to be in top physical condition to complete this lengthy walk, which requires you to ascend and descend an astounding 115,000 feet (the equivalent to the heights of 4 Mount Everest).

How Long Does The South West Coast Path Take To Walk?

The trail is 630 miles long (1,014 km). When it comes to walking days, a speedy person can walk the whole course in about 30 days. A more leisurely pace with time to stop and see the sights just off the path may take between 7 and 8 weeks.

What Is The Best Section Of The South West Coastal Path?

Is it possible to pick the entire South West coastal path as the best section? However, if I had to pick one, I’d say that the part between Exmouth and Poole is one of the most scenic sections. It is also home to the UK’s First World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO for the Jurassic Coast Walk here.

Conclusion

So, these are my 15 jaw-dropping South-West Coastal path accommodations that I think you would love if you plan to embark on the iconic southwest coastal road trip.

Rent a camper van if you are going with a large family, do spend some time staying in one place so that you get to experience true Cornish hospitality & its local cuisine.
